Welcome
At Carterhouse Accommodation, we believe going on holiday should be a relaxing time. The Annex has everything you need to make your stay feel like being home from home. With breathtaking views and scenery you wont be disappointed. Kielder Forest is just along the road where you can partake in a variety of water activities or simply just walk and have a picnic. We are the ideal spot to spend however long you want, whether passing through deeper into Scotland or heading back into Northumberland and beyond.
About Us
We fell in love with the area's outstanding beauty and couldn't bring ourselves to leave, so we made it our home. Now, we want to share this beautiful spot with you. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Enjoy meeting our Highland Coos, Morag and her calf Fergus, Bonnie, Merida, Angus, Flora and Sassy, Agnus and Esme. Our Black nose Valais Maud, Maggie, Mabel, May and Wallace, our Pigmy goats Betsy, Boris and Mischief, Donkey's Bert and Ernie. We also have some woodland, hebridean's and herdwick sheep. All are enclosed in their own fields. All newly arrived in 2025!

The Annexe is a perfect getaway with all the amenities you would require. Very warm & friendly invite from Andy & Louise, especially during our little crisis — the jacuzzi is fantastic! The cattle gate opens you up to a fantastic view. A birthday I truly enjoyed. Feb 2027 — we'll be back!"
